The Samsung India pitch has easily been the most talked about and speculated pitch in the industry in recent times. The pitch was exclusively reported on exchange4media earlier. (Samsung India scouts for media partner).
The media duties for the brand were handled by Starcom MediaVest Group. The account size is estimated to be upwards of Rs 400 crore.
It has been the most talked about pitch not only by virtue of being one of the bigger pitches to take place in recent times, but also an extremely close contest between the two agencies, one of which is a global network agency and the other a local agency. Industry insiders, however, indicate that the local agency may not be the winner in this close contest for the much coveted media duties.
While the industry insiders confirm the agency that has been awarded the much coveted Samsung account, whether or not the company will formally announce its new media partnership today, remains to be seen.
