Starcom Worldwide appointed Disney’s media AoR; Contract retains creative biz

Walt Disney Television International India (WDTVI) has decided on its advertising partners. In the wake of a multi-agency pitch, Contract Advertising has retained the creative business. It is understood that the media duties of the business were also under review and that Starcom Worldwide has been assigned the media mandate. The account size is pegged in the vicinity of Rs 25-30 crore.

Disney officials were not available for comments at the time of filing the report, but executives familiar with the situation have confirmed the development. The incumbent agency on the media side of the business is Maxus.

When the pitch was first called, WDTVI was reviewing only the creative side of the business. The competitive pitch for media was later added to the overall process.
