STAR shines at PROMAX & BDA World Gold Awards

It was a rich haul for STAR India, which bagged a total 23 awards at the PROMAX & BDA Awards 2007, held in New York on June13 and 14. Of these seven were Golds, 10 Silvers and six Bronzes. PROMAX & BDA Awards recognise excellence in on-air and off-air promotion, design and marketing for the visual media and are the highest accolades in international broadcast.

STAR, which rocked the award’s function, won Golds for Broadcast television, Branding, Consumer Promotion, Editing, as well as for use of original music and composition for promos.

SET India bagged a Gold for online advertising while Filmy bagged two Golds, one for movie promotion and the other in the folded-piece category.

Media Content Communication Services bagged a total of 16 awards out of which were three Golds for Editing, Directing and News Bumpering.

Nick, too, managed to win a Gold in four categories such as Branding, Promotional Animation Campaign, On-Air Sales Promotion and Consumer Protection.

Meanwhile, STAR India had also excelled at the India chapter of the PROMAX & BDA awards held in Mumbai at the end of last month. STAR had bagged nine awards, including five Golds for Best Movie Promo, Best Interactive Promo, Best Programme Packaging, Best Collateral Material and Best On-Air Branding; and four Silvers for Best Out-of-House Station Image Promo, Best Sales and Marketing Presentation, Best Collateral Material and Best Animation.
