Star Cruises retains Beehive Communications as media AoR, account size Rs 10-12 cr

Following a media pitch that took place earlier in the year, Beehive Communications has retained the media business of Star Cruises. This includes both brands -- SuperStar Libra and SuperStar Virgo. Beehive Communications continues to handle the creative of the business. Industry sources peg the business at Rs 10-12 crore.

Beehive Communications has been the communications agency for Star Cruises for quite some time now – handling both the media and creative part of the business. However, earlier in the year, the media part of the business came under review. The other agencies in the fray comprised MediaCom and Carat Media. Following the review, Star Cruises has decided to keep the account with Beehive.

“While the other agencies considered were extremely competent, we found Beehive’s domain knowledge and their willingness to think and execute out-of-the-box to be key differentiators,” said Sarosh Khatib, the recently appointed GM of Star Cruises in India.

“This is one of the most prestigious accounts that we have and winning it in 2005 itself was a boost. Now to retain it, despite stiff competition, is even better. 2006 has begun well,” said Sanjit Shastri, CEO, Beehive Communications.
