Span Communications bags Rs 6-cr online mandate for Oriental Insurance

Span Communications has won the online duties, including both creative and media, for the entire portfolio of Oriental Insurance. The pitch for the business was called in August this year and many leading agencies participated, though their names could not be ascertained. Sources close to the development disclose the size of the business to be in the region of Rs 5-6 crore.

Commenting on the win, Naresh Kheterpal, CEO, Span Communications, said, “Insurance is a dynamic and competitive sector and it is a challenge for us to position our client differently from its competitors. Our team is delighted with this win as it gives us a strong entry in the insurance sector. At the time of the pitch, our overall strategic approach and innovative ideas matched with the future plans of the client, and that made the real difference.”

Oriental Insurance is among the leading players in the non-life insurance sector. Although a late entrant in the digital media, Oriental Insurance has very aggressive plans for its digital advertising. Span Communications will be responsible to establish Oriental Insurance as a prominent brand in the digital space and promote its entire portfolio of products using different online vehicles.

Recently, Span Communications bagged the creative and media duties for the Ministry of Tourism’s Incredible India Bed and Breakfast campaign.
