Skoda India calls pitch for creative and digital duties

The Volkswagen Group owned car brand, Skoda has called a pitch for its creative and digital duties for India. The pitch is expected to be closed by the first week of May. As per industry sources, the pitch process has already been completed and the results are expected soon.

“The pitch has to be called as the three year tenure of both our digital and creative agency is coming to an end soon,” said a senior industry person.

The creative duties for the group are currently handled by Publicis while digital account is managed by Bushfire. For media duties, PHD in 2016 won the global account.

Despite repeated calls and messages, Skoda did not respond to a request for comment.

The core target group for the brand comprises men in the 30-45 year old bracket, from metros and second level metros, who like technology, understand finesse and are passionate car owners who buy cars for themselves and not to show off. The brand was in news last for its campaign launched in July 2017 positioning its most popular car Octavia as a ‘smart vs tough’ (SUV), an object of desire that will make those not having it envious.
