The session on ‘Changing Expectation of Clients & Media Agencies – of transparency & accountability’ at the Delhi leg of exchange4media Conclave on June 9, 2010 is expected to see some fireworks. Panellists representing both the client side and media side would put their views across on what transparency & accountability is all about.

The panellists representing the client side include Shefali Chhachhi, Marketing Director, Max Bupa and Alok Bharadwaj, Vice President - Marketing, Canon India. Ashish Bhasin, Chairman - India, CEO - South East Asia, Aegis; Anita Nayyar, CEO, Havas; and Les Margulis, President, RK Swamy Media Group/ Media Direction will represent the media agency side of the conversation. Raj Nayak, CEO, Aidem, is the session chairperson.

Once, the game was about simple deliveries and great relationships. Today, it is about better rates; clients are talking about remuneration linked to deliveries and media agencies think that should work both ways… Mindless pitching, pitch fees, the place of a partner for media agencies… much is discussed at all times. What do clients want from media agencies and what do media agencies expect from clients in return?

Les Margulis will commence the session with a short presentation on the situation in India as he views it.

The exchange4media Conclave, the annual flagship event of the exchange4media Group, is special this year as it marks the commencement of the Group’s 10th Anniversary celebrations. The theme for the Conclave this year is ‘Rebooting the Indian media and advertising industry’.

The exchange4media Conclave 2010 is presented by Dainik Jagran. The Delhi leg of exchange4media Conclave 2010 will be held on June 9, while the Mumbai leg will be held on June 11.
