Sepia Advertising assigned creative and media duties for BL Agro

Sepia Advertising Pvt Ltd has bagged the creative and media mandate for BL Agro Oils Ltd. The account size is pegged at Rs 5 crore.

BL Agro’s flagship brand, Bail Kolhu Mustard Oil, enjoys a clear leadership position in Uttar Pradesh and parts of Uttarakhand, besides having a major presence in states like Bihar and Jharkhand. Recently, the company had forayed into the National Capital Region and has already grabbed a substantial market share. The company also has a range of edible oils, including refined soyabean oil and various blended oils. BL Agro now has aggressive plans to take its brands across India and also to introduce various new edible oil brands in its existing strongholds.

Richa Khandelwal, Director, In-charge of Delhi and Rest of UP operations, BL Agro, said, “Edible oil is a highly competitive sector. In fact, our competition is with leading national/MNC brands as well as with the vast unbranded community. We are geared for the challenges and we trust Sepia to be an ideal partner in our ambitious endeavours.”

On winning the account, Rajesh Goyal, Managing Director, Sepia, said, “Bail Kolhu is perhaps the best quality mustard oil available today in the country. However, it carries a tag of being a regional brand, which we will soon shed with a new national positioning. Mustard oil as a product itself does not get the recognition it deserves. How many people know that mustard oil has one of the lowest saturated fats content among all edible oils? Or that it has the most balanced fatty acids profile, which perhaps makes it the healthiest edible oil? BL Agro has excellent prospects and we are highly excited to work in this challenging category.”

Sepia Advertising was established in 1993 by Goyal. It is a full service INS accredited advertising agency and an integrated brand communications agency. Sepia has worked for a varied clientele, including Prasar Bharti, Noida Power Company Ltd, State Bank of India, Triveni Infrastructure Development Co Ltd., Omaxe Ltd, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Greater Noida Institute of Management & Technology, Dalmia Resorts, and Amar Ujala Noida, among others.
