Rohit Ohri expected to head Dentsu Branded Agencies APAC

Rohit Ohri, Executive Chairman at Dentsu India and CEO at Dentsu Asia Pacific (South), is slated to be heading to Singapore later this month to head Dentsu Branded agencies for the APAC region,  indicate industry insiders.

While Ohri shifts base to Singapore, Ashish Bhasin, Chairman and CEO South Asia, Dentsu Aegis Network, will oversee the India operations.

Japanese advertising giant Dentsu had acquired Aegis Media in July, 2012 in a deal that valued the British media buying company at US$4.9 billion. The two agencies have been merged to form Dentsu Aegis Network. Together, the agency networks are present in 110 countries worldwide with over 22,000 dedicated specialists.

Dentsu Network and Aegis Media combined to form Dentsu Aegis Network on January 1, 2014.

With this new structure, Rohit Ohri, who was Executive Chairman of Dentsu India Group, was given additional responsibilities of CEO, Dentsu APAC South.

While Ashish Bhasin was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Dentsu Aegis Network South Asia, Bhasin was earlier designated as chairman, India and CEO, Southeast Asia at Aegis Group.

At the time of filing this report we did not get a confirmation from Rohit Ohri.
