Rohinton Maloo, a known personality in the media world and more importantly, my husband, unfortunately was a victim of the terrorist attack on 26/11 at the Oberoi Hotel, Mumbai.
On that fateful night, he was doing what he did best â enjoying a fantastic meal and striking a business deal. A man full of visions and dreams, his life was cut short at his prime. Leaving me and my two children devastated.
I had two options at that point â to let it all go or to pull myself together and carry on what Rohinton had worked so hard to build up.
Now, two years on, I feel there to be no better way to honour and keep his spirit alive than to take Cutting Edge Media forward and to see his dreams become a reality.
Today, all that Rohinton said keeps echoing in my mind as he believed in what he did and worked with a passion that was infectious and could be felt by anyone who knew him. The overwhelming support and encouragement that the industry has given me is something I will never forget. Every time I happen to meet his friends and colleagues, they have an anecdote, an experience or a story about Rohinton to share. Over the past two years, Iâve got a sense of just how many lives he had touched in the industry in the short time he was with us. Iâm sure today he looks down on us with a sense of pride and joy, blessing our dreams for the future.
Rohinton, I know you will always be missed by all who loved you in the industry and I can never fill your shoes, but like you said âNever say neverâ, so I am going to keep trying.
