rmg david enters One Show with three nominations

It seems to be a hat-trick in the making in more ways than one for rmg david, as the agency, for the third consecutive year enters the coveted One Show awards in New York.

Two years back, rmg david emerged as the first Indian agency to win the metal at One Show (along with O&M's ad for CPA). Last year, the group romped home winning the award with a poster campaign for Indiatimes.com. And, this time the agency has three nominations – the highest among the Indian contenders this year.

Among the nominees from rmg stable, there is one innovative hoarding the group designed for the WWF, where the hoarding frame was prepared like a bird shelter of sorts. The second, in the guerilla category, is the much talked-about controversial 'I love Pakistan' windshield sticker campaign done for Windshield Experts.

Interestingly, the third client is none other than rmg david itself. The group’s uniquely designed visiting cards, exclusively designed and tailored for each member of the squad, carrying snaps of their childhood days, has earned fame across the creative fraternity worldwide before being picked up by the One Show.

And, the credit for the WWF billboard goes to Amit Nandwani and Rohit Devgun, while the sticker and the visiting cards were the creation of Nirmal Pulickal and Jiten Thukral. All these rmg brains are based in the group’s Delhi outfit.

Referring to the third consecutive entry in the One Show, Josy Paul, Country Head and National Creative Director, rmg david, says: “The magic number three has proven to be quite a talisman for us. We have three fully functional offices in the country. And we recently came third (not a joint third anymore, after LB was stripped off their medal) at the Abbies. Now, we've got three, for the third year running at the One Show.” He adds jokingly, “I'm now seriously thinking of selling my car and getting a three-wheeler to work."
