Rewind 2010: The top advertisers in TV, print and radio

exchange4media Group, in association with AdEx India, a division of TAM Media Research, brings the top advertisers of 2010 in television, print and radio as part of the ‘Rewind 2010’ special coverage. The data is for the period January-November 2010.

Top Advertisers – Television:

Hindustan Unilever Ltd continues as the top advertiser on television with a share of 8 per cent, the same as in 2009. Reckit Benckiser, too, continues as the No. 2 advertisers on TV with a share of 3 per cent. Cadburys India climbs to No. 3 from the fourth position in 2009, while Coca-Cola which was placed third in 2009, slips to sixth position with a share of 2 per cent.

Top Advertisers – Print:

Interestingly, in print,, which had not even featured in the Top 10 list of advertisers in 2009, has been the No. 1 advertiser with a share of 1 per cent. Tata Motors, LG Electronics and Maruti Udyog follow.

Top Advertisers – Radio:

The top two advertisers on radio are telecom companies – Vodafone and Bharti Airtel. Star TV Network follows at No. 3, while Pantaloons retail is placed fourth. Hindustan Unilever, which was the top advertiser on radio in 2009, drastically cut down advertising on radio, dropping to the tenth position in 2010.
