Preeti Vyas Giannetti selected for Cannes Jury 2006

Preeti Vyas Giannetti, Chairwoman and Chief Creative Officer of Vyas Giannetti Creative, has been invited to be part of the press jury for the Cannes International Advertising Festival to be held in July. She is the first woman Creative Director-CEO from India to be conferred with this distinction.

This recognition comes on the heels of two other prestigious awards conferred on Vyas Giannetti for her leadership at Vyas Giannetti Creative – first, as one of the 25 most powerful women in Indian business by business magazine, ‘Business Today’, and ‘Creative Professional of the Year’ at the Indira Awards for Marketing Excellence 2006, organised by Indira Group of Institutes, Pune, India.

What is noteworthy is that while most of the other jury members from across the world are from multinational agencies, Vyas Giannetti Creative is an Indian home-grown, independent agency without any international affiliation. Today, VGC is a total brand communications agency with a dedicated team of over 60 professionals in Delhi and Mumbai, with a blue-chip client including the Aditya Birla Group, BBC World, Hinduja Group, Discovery Networks India, Ashok Leyland, Birla Sun life among many others with capitalised billings of over $15 million.

The recent Economic Times Rankings 2005, placed Vyas Giannetti at No 7 in the ‘creative directors’ ranking – incidentally, the only woman Creative Director-CEO in the country. Vyas Giannetti Creative was ranked 18th – the highest ranked new entrant in the list.

Last year, Vyas Giannetti was on the jury of the New York Festivals. She is an Executive Committee member of the National Design Business Incubator at the National Institute of Design, Asia’s premier design school and on the Communications Management Panel of Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad.
