Prasoon Joshi, Vijay Mallya, Rajdeep Sardesai bag top honours at Asia Brand Congress 2007

The Asia Brand Congress 2007 summit that took place in Mumbai awarded several eminent players from the media and corporate world, recognising their excellent work in ‘Branding’. Prasoon Joshi, Executive Chairman and Regional Creative Director-South and South-East Asia, McCann Erickson, was named Creative Professional of the Year. B Muthumaran, Managing Director, Tata Steel, bagged the award for CEO of the Year.

The award for the Marketing Professional of the Year went to Sunil Lulla, CEO, Times Now, while Dr Vijay Mallya, Chairman, Kingfisher Airlines, was adjudged Brand Builder of the Year. Rajdeep Sardesai was named Media Professional of the Year. The Agency of the Year award went to Grey Worldwide, while Bharti Enterprises Ltd bagged the Campaign of the Year award.

Under the category of Brand Leadership, several brands bagged awards, including HDFC Bank and Tata Sky for services and hospitality; Hindustan Unilever for FMCG; Motorola India for durables; Tech Mahindra for the IT sector category; Bajaj Auto for automobiles, and Zapak Digital Entertainment for the Internet business.

The overall Brand Leadership award went to Maruti Udyog Ltd. Remit2India, Xerox India Limited, Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd, Essar Telecom Retail Ltd and ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company Ltd were the other companies that were honoured under the Brand Leadership category for organisations.

Arun Arora, President, BCCL, and CEO, The Economic Times; as well as KP Singh, Chairman, DLF Group, each bagged the Lifetime Achievement Award.
