Prasoon Joshi to judge Andy, D&AD, New York Festival

It will be a very busy 2012 for Prasoon Joshi, President, McCann Worldgroup South Asia. Not only will Joshi strengthen McCann Worldgroup’s presence in South Asian markets like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India, the acclaimed writer, poet, scriptwriter and songwriter will also represent Asia at the Jury of leading global advertising festivals like D&AD, Andy, New York Festival, besides Press Lotus at AdFest 2012.

Joshi will be judging the Writing for Advertising category at D&AD. He is the only Indian Juror in this category at the awards. Joshi is described as the “Torchbearer of a new, young breed of advertising, putting not just India but Asia on the world stage” on D&AD’s official website.

Agnello Dias, Chairman & Co-Founder, Taproot India, is also part of the Jury for Integrated & Earned Media category at D&AD 2012.

Joshi is also judging the Andy Awards 2012, the only Indian in the Jury panel.

New York Festivals has also brought Joshi on board the Executive Jury for the awards. Santosh Padhi, Chief Creative Officer, Taproot India, also sits on the Executive Jury this year along with Joshi. The official website of New York Festivals describes people on its Executive Jury as “Some of the most awarded and accomplished Chief Creative Officers on planet Earth”. The New York Festivals award ceremony will be held on May 3, 2012 in New York.

As is known, Joshi will also be overseeing the Press Lotus category as Jury President at AdFest 2012, which will take place from March 18 to 20, 2012 in Pattaya, Thailand.
