The Opel accounts, Astra and Corsa, are both ready for a shift. The 3-year contract period for the agencies of both Opel Corsa, handled by McCann, and Opel Astra, handled by Grey Worldwide, is nearing a lapse. General Motors India has called a number of agencies to pitch for the two brands.
Says Johny Oomen, GM, Marketing, General Motors, "Most of the pitches for the accounts have already happened. The agencies were called to give a creative and strategy presentation. The evaluation has started and the results can be expected very soon."
Recently, as reported by exchange4media, the Hyundai Accent account had moved to Grey Worldwide. Keeping this in mind, one can expect a shift in the Opel Astra account atleast, even if the Opel Corsa account remains with McCann.
The verdict is eagerly awaited!
