One Show Design 2008 winners announced; Leo Burnett, O&M, Rediffusion DYR bag Gold for India

The annual One Show Design 2008, part of the One Show Festival Week, was held in New York on May 7. India struck Gold at the One Show Design Awards this year, with Pencils for Leo Burnett, O&M, and Rediffusion DYR.

Leo Burnett Mumbai’s entry titled ‘Color Percentages’ for client Luxor Highlighters bagged a Gold Pencil in the Posters Campaign category. In all, Leo Burnett bagged six metals.

Ogilvy also won six metals. O&M Mumbai’s work for WWF titled ‘Plant more lives’ bagged a Gold Pencil in thte Public Service/Non-profit Educational Posters category.

Rediffusion DYR, too, bagged a Gold Pencil for its campaign titled The Birds for Amway India in the Posters Design (single) category. The creative behind the campaign included Daniel Upputuru, Abhinav Pratiman, Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar, and Ramanuj Shastry.

The One Show is an international advertising award show presented for creative excellence with categories, including print, television radio, outdoor, innovative media and marketing, and integrated branding. The works are being judged by an international jury comprising award-winning art directors, copywriters and creative directors.
