MPG Bangalore assigned Rs 10-cr media mandate for Jockey

Jockey’s India franchise holder, Page Industries, has awarded its media business to MPG Bangalore. The account size is pegged in the region of Rs 10 crore. This is the first time that the client has appointed a media agency for the business. It may be recalled that Jockey had recently assigned its creative business to Mudra Bangalore following a multi-agency pitch.

Elated on the win, Anita Nayyar, CEO, Havas Media, said, “This is an important win for MPG in Bangalore. We offered Jockey some compelling insights to make the inner wear brand into a complete lifestyle brand.”

On the reason for appointing MPG as its media agency, Ashok Genomal, Managing Director, Page Industries, said, “We recognise that the media landscape in India is complex and will be even more so in the times ahead. To take us through the challenges and opportunities ahead and help our brand connect with our consumers, we were looking for a suitable media partner. We were very impressed with the strategy and inputs given to us by MPG, and look forward to a great relationship with them.”

For MPG, this is the third win announced in the year, the other businesses being Sistema and Shyam Telelink JV account and the Panasonic business.
