MEC India has won the media mandate for Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances, a stainless steel and kitchen appliance company.

The account was bagged after a closely contested multi-agency pitch, said an official release.

VML Karthikeyan, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances said, “In view of our plans to expand our market presence and moving to be a pan India player, we wanted to partner with a national media agency to effectively handle our media planning and buying. Amongst the agencies we reviewed, we found MEC to be a good fit in terms of understanding our business needs, culture, process and people. We are pleased to partner with MEC and hope that this association will bring in a vital difference in our media approach.”

MEC’s Chennai office will handle the account.

Commenting on the win, Rajendra J Prasad, Head, MEC South said, “Given Butterfly’s reputation as one of the market leaders in the kitchen appliances segment, we are delighted to have been appointed their agency of record.
