McCann Erickson earns five nominations at FAB Awards ‘07; Leo Burnett also in

The Ninth International Food And Beverage Creative Excellence Awards -- the FAB Awards – has announced the nominated finalists for 2007. Only two Indian agencies will compete in the final rounds -- Leo Burnett and McCann Erickson. The latter in fact has the second highest number of nominations. At present, the list excludes Digital which is currently being judged.

McCann Erickson’s work on Happy Dent which has been appreciated highly at many award platforms, has again scored at FAB Awards 2007. The Happy Dent commercial for Perfetti Van Melle features as a finalist in Press, Television & Cinema and Packaging & Design categories for the Confectionery & Snacks sub-category.

Under the Press category, McCann features for Cocco’s Café, titled Lennon, Luther, Gandhi for the sub-category Retailers. The agency again features in the Poster category for Pure Sin Liquor Chocolates titled ‘Ants’ under the sub-category of Confectionery & Snacks.

Leo Burnett India features as a finalist in the Direct category for Zero Calorie Sweetener titled ‘Elastic Tape’ under the sub-category Health Foods.

The winners will be announced at the FAB Awards dinner on May 17, 2007 in London.

AMVBBDO London took the most nominations by any single agency office, followed by McCann Erickson Mumbai, CLM BBDO Paris, Williams Murray Hamm London and Goodby Silverstein & Partners San Francisco.

The FAB Awards is an international creative awards programme focussed on creative work done for food and drink brands. This year there were 3,500 pieces of work from over 65 countries, covering TV, Poster, Press, Radio, Integrated Campaign, Packaging Design, Brand Identity, Retail Environment, Logo Design, Direct Marketing, Collateral & POS, Sales Promotion, Guerilla Marketing and Digital Media.
