Leo Burnett wins McCain Foods biz

Leo Burnett has bagged the creative duties of McCain Foods India Pvt Ltd, which offers a wide variety of products such as Aloo Tikki, Tandoori Vege Nuggets and Vege Burgers, besides popular international products like French Fries, Smiles, Savoury Potato Wedges, and Hashbrowns.

Confirming the development, KS Narayanan, Managing Director, McCain Foods, said, “The reason for choosing Leo Burnett as our creative agency is that we found a good strategic fit and decided to go with the agency. We have been working with the agency for over six months in developing the brand strategy and communication plan.”

He added, “Leo Burnett will handle all the creative duties for developing the McCain brand in India. We are in the process of finalising the same, and depending on the requirement, will fix the media spends.”

He further said that the win followed a multi-agency pitch. “Leo Burnett’s presentation was based on strong consumer insights and sound creative direction. We need to build the frozen foods category in India, which would be accomplished over a period of time. It will be a 360 degree campaign, which will break some time in the second half of this year,” Narayanan added.
