It’s get, set & go for Everest Brand Solutions in 2011

“If you just focus on the creative work, all the good things will happen – the brands will get healthy, the agency will grow, you will get new business, you’ll make more money, you will be able to pay bonuses. Creative work is the whole agency.” This is what Dhunji Wadia, President, Everest Brand Solutions, had told exchange4media in a recent conversation.

After nearly four years of big changes, where Anirudha Banerjee resigned and D Rajappa replaced Mahesh Chauhan as the Everest Brand Solutions President, there are some major changes in Everest Brand Solutions once again. Dhunji Wadia has taken charge as President, while Rahul Jauhari has been roped in as National Creative Director. Everest Brands Solutions is definitely set for 2011.

Jauhari takes charge from the first week of March. On being asked about the reason for joining Everest after his stint at Pickle Lintas, Jauhari explained, “Pickle undoubtedly has been a rich experience for me. I chose Everest for a few reasons. One, I like and vibe with Dhunji and I look forward to partnering him. Two, I am familiar with the group, having spent seven years in Rediffusion earlier. So, it’s like going back to old friends. And thirdly, the challenge of taking Everest to new highs seemed an extremely interesting one.”

According to Wadia, Everest was a team of motivated and passionate individuals with a blend of business expertise as well as artistic creativity. Thus, the new people they recruit should meet their agencies thinking, irrespective of where they come from.

If the goals set by Wadia for Everest are anything to go by, then Jauhari definitely has a task ahead of him. On this, he said, “Dhunji has high targets in his sight. I share them with him now. Be it in terms of producing work that is felt in the market, building teams of talent or in terms of offering our clients a real partnership. It’s not one or the other. It’s all of them.”
