Industry's young guns shine at Young Achiever's Awards

In order to encourage and recognise the achievements of the under-30 talent in the turf of advertising, media or marketing, Ad Club Bombay held the Young Achievers Awards 2011 on February 4, 2011, in association with UTV Bindass.

The Jury Chairpersons were Bhaskar Das (Times Group), Pratap Bose (Mudra), Josy Paul (BBDO India), and Punitha Arumugam (Madison India). The panel of judges included Ashish Khazanchi (Publicis Ambience), Divya Gururaj (Mediacom), Jasmin Sohrabji (OMD), Nandini Dias (Lodestar UM), Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar (Bates 141), S Yesudas (Vizuem), and Divya Radhakrishnan, among others.

The first set of awards was the Communication Awards. The Copywriter of the Year award went to Pallavi Chakravarti (Grey Mumbai) and Huzefa Kapadia (Creativeland Asia). Kapadia also walked away with the Digital Person of the Year award. Ganesh Nayak (Leo Burnett) bagged the Art Director of the Year award, while Nandine Pereira (Leo Burnett) was adjudged Designer of the Year.

Best Marketing Initiative of the Year went to Jake Joss (MediaCom); the UTV Bindass ‘What I Am’ and the Media Person of the Year awards were claimed by Aatika Ansari (MediaCom).

Aditi Patkar (Mindshare) bagged the Media Innovation of the Year award, while Consumer Engagement of the Year award was shared by Sneha Shenoy (Mudra Max) and Huzefa Kapadia (Creativeland Asia).

There was also a special Certificate of Appreciation, which was given to Vikas Bissa (Reliance Communications Ltd), while the Special Jury Mention was for Pranav Sharma (Mudra Communications) for ‘May I Help You’?
