Indiatimes wins best Indian portal award

PC World has awarded the Techies 2000 ‘Best Indian Portal’. The Techies 2000 awards are classified into two categories –the PC World awards, which include the Best Indian Portal – and the ICW awards.

The PC World awards give 20 per cent weightage to the opinion of the magazine’s editors, while 80 per cent weightage is given to the readers’ choice. The PC World editors, voted Indiatimes the best search engine. Other winners of the Techies awards included best multinational LG Electronics India, the most popular IT company, HCL Tech, and the best software company, Wipro.
