foodpanda unveils the man under the panda suit-it's SRK!

Online marketplace for food delivery, foodpanda, unveiled the first TVC from the holistic campaign with its new brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan. The TVC, which will go live on television and online properties, talks about the company and its various offerings including early morning and late-night delivery, Express Guarantee and best offers on restaurants.

The TVC features the actor in the famous panda suit, which is now synonymous with the brand. He is seen delivering food to various people.

On the TVC launch, Saurabh Kochhar, CEO, foodpanda India, said, “Shah Rukh Khan is the biggest star our nation knows and his universal appeal cuts across all age, gender and consumer demographics. We feel that this brand association between foodpanda and Shah Rukh will provide further impetus to our determination to change the way India eats. We will continue to keep a strong focus on strengthening food ordering and delivery experience.”

Adding on to that, Joy Mohanty, Regional President (North and East), Lowe Lintas Delhi, said, “Here, we started by making two small but significant discoveries. First, that we have two celebrities, SRK and the Panda. And the next, that of all the roles SRK has played, he's never ever been a panda. And so was born the campaign that fuses the aura of the brand endorser and the popularity of the brand mascot in a rather unique manner.”

The new campaign is envisaged to bring new customers into the fold and make foodpanda appeal to not just audiences in Metros but Tier 1 & 2 cities as well. It attempts to position foodpanda not just as a food ordering and delivery platform but as a brand that understands and reflects how today‘s young India lives and eats.

The campaign weaves together the frenzy around Shah Rukh and the popularity of Panda not just as a brand mascot but as a loveable character in a playful, endearing way. The campaign spreading across online and offline touch points, aims to drive the key selling points of foodpanda and further establish foodpanda as a brand which young India can resonate with.
