Emerging Media appoints Ogilvy Group for communication strategy of Jaipur’s IPL team

Emerging Media, franchise owners of Indian Premier League (IPL) Team Jaipur, has appointed the Ogilvy Group to provide the communication strategy and creative to build the positioning and reputation for the brand IPL Team Jaipur.

Emerging Media plans to roll out major brand and marketing activities to create awareness and enhance brand IPL Team Jaipur. It has also earmarked a substantial budget, which will include all marketing promotions and on-ground activities, creating a new logo, a team jersey, a team anthem, etc. Emerging Media will simultaneously launch season two of India’s only cricket reality show ‘Cricket Star Twenty20’.

Commenting on this win, Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman, Ogilvy Group, South Asia, said, “The Group is extremely excited to be associated with Emerging Media. In response to the client’s excitement, we have also created an exclusive team – Ogilvy Team Jaipur to build the brand. The creative team, headed by Abhijit Avasthi, will work with a battery of creative people, on-ground experts and the client’s team to create a unique identity for IPL Team Jaipur.”

As is known, Emerging Media had won the IPL team franchise of Jaipur for $67 million, at the IPL franchise bid.
