Cutting Edge Media is exclusive sales agent for World Cup Cricket 2007 across Americas

Cutting Edge Media has been appointed exclusive sales agent for World Cup Cricket 2007 to be viewed on Dish Network (Echostar) PPU platform across Americas. Dish Network (Echostar) is the largest DTH operator in the Americas. The arrangement primarily means that Cutting Edge Media will handle all ad sales advertising for World Cup Cricket 2007 from South Asian countries.

Said an exultant Rohinton Baji Maloo, Managing Director, Cutting Edge Media, “We are proud to be associated with the largest sporting event. It’s also a testimony to the fact that Cutting Edge Media is competent to handle an event of such magnitude. We see this as a blue chip opportunity for us.”

Maloo refused to give an estimate of the revenues Cutting Edge Media was expecting to garner, saying it was a “bit too early for that”.

The agency is looking at targeting Indian advertisers such as builders, banks, travel portals and food exporters who are looking at reaching NRIs as well as other Asian communities in the Americas.

The Echostar platform can also be used to reach people of other nationalities living in Americas who follow cricket. Not only will the matches be seen at home but also on cruise ships and cinema halls that have been blocked off to show WC ‘07 live.
