Triton Communication’s Delhi office has bagged the creative, media and digital duties for Combbos following a multi-agency pitch that was held in the capital. The pitch saw participation from four mainline agencies.
Talking about the reason behind choosing Triton Communication as its communication partner, Alok Mathur, Director, Combbos said, “Triton’s approach in terms of understanding our objective, positioning of the brand was in line with our requirements which made us choose the agency over other participants. The creative side of our digital presence will also be managed by the agency.”
Confirming the news to exchange4media, Rohit Madhusudan, Branch Head, Triton Communications said, “It is a pleasure to be associated with a brand such as Combbos. It was our persistent effort that has won us the business. There were rounds of presentations on strategy and creative. It is our creative prowess that helped us take a leap as Combbos liked the thought process behind our concept for the brand. They liked our approach and the brand idea that we conceptualised.”

Elaborating more on the plans for the brand ahead, Mathur said, “We would work on a hyper local model as of now as the product is new in the market. We are operating in a mid- to high-end durable category where our first task would be to develop a comfort level with the consumer. Our promotions initially will be on mediums such as radio, print and outdoor led by on-ground activation.”
For the record, Combbos is the first venture from SANS Retail Ventures. An authorised e-tailer working exclusively with a network of top branded consumer electronics, home appliances, entertainment gadgets, IT and mobile manufacturers/establishments, Combbos is an e-commerce platform that provides good bargains. The platform was put to beta testing in September 2011 and has been operational since then.
