Bank of Maharashtra empanels agencies for Rs 60-cr biz

Bank of Maharashtra is in the process of finalising its advertising partners that would look after its creative, media, events and PR duties. Even though the client is still tight-lipped about the development, it is learnt that amongst the empanelled agencies are Lintas India that includes Lowe Lintas and Lintas Media Group, Rediffusion that includes Rediffusion Y&R and TME, Crayons and Goldmine.

It is also understood that there are more agencies empanelled for the business, which included the likes of Saatchi & Saatchi & Mudra Communications. The account size is pegged at Rs 60 crore.

It may be recalled that in July 2009, Bank of Maharashtra had released a tender inviting agencies to pitch for its overall communication mandate. The brief revolves around Bank of Maharashtra completing 75 years and that this milestone would be used for a brand revamp.

It is also understood that earlier today, the Bank had sent the letters of empanelment to the agencies involved. However, none of the agency officials offered any comments on the development.
