Amar Ujala MQ 2012: Time to hone your media mojo

MQ - What’s your Media Quotient?, the popular initiative from exchange4media, is back with its fourth edition. Amar Ujala is the title sponsor of Media Quotient this year.

As in the previous years, this year too Media Quotient will be held across four cities – New Delhi (June 20), Kolkata (June 22), Bangalore (June 27) and Mumbai (June 29). The grand finale will be held in Mumbai on June 29.

Speaking on associating with MQ 2012, Sunil Mutreja, Executive Director, Amar Ujala Publications said, “We are looking forward to maximum participation from the industry. In tough economic times, quizzing will be a constructive engagement for all. Media Quotient will provide a good balance of entertainment and intellectual participation.”

He further said, “Credibility is what Amar Ujala is known for. Media Quotient has built up a reputation of being a fair quiz contest over the years; hence, we see a good compatibility here. This quiz reflects all that Amar Ujala stands for – intellect, unbiased, truth and credibility.”

Media Quotient is about engaging with the industry in a contextual and intellectual manner. The quiz covers all aspects of the media discipline – people, places, stories of origin, research and bits of global media.

Mutreja is not new to quizzing, having been associated with numerous quiz events, including Terra Quiz, an environment-based quiz with which he has been associated for five years. He considers quiz events as good opportunities to learn as well as connect with people.

Commenting on Media Quotient, he said, “The quiz has an interesting format. It has got good feedback from the industry, so we are looking forward to another year of excellent participation.”

Media Quotient brings together media professionals on a common platform to network and interact while simultaneously competing to win. It is open to anyone from advertising and media agencies, corporate houses, media houses and students.

To register for Amar Ujala MQ 2012, any number of two-member teams can participate for an entry fee.

This year, the Audience Round will be presented by Open magazine. My FM is the associate sponsor.

It may be recalled that Team HUL-IMRB from Mumbai comprising Ameya Samant (IMRB) and Pradeep Ramarathnam (HUL) was the winner in 2011.
