TAM: Apple iPhone was the eighth advertising brand at 2018 FIFA World Cup
Apple iPhoneX entered at the eighth spot in the top 10 brands according to the data for 2018 FIFA World Cup provided to exchange4media by TAM, from the first match on June 14 to the 60th match on July 8.
Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) continued to be the top advertising brand followed by Hero Passion and Honda X Blade. Hero Super Splendor 125 and Bigbasket.com slipped to the fourth and fifth spots respectively. Volkswagen Sports Edition and Uber retained its sixth and seventh spot respectively. Amazon Echo slipped to ninth spot while Dream11 held on to its tenth position.
In terms of company, Hero Motocorp remained the leading advertiser followed by AMFI, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India. The other seven companies were from diverse categories ranging from a beverage maker and online portal, to taxi aggregator and automobiles such as, Super Market Grocery Supplies (fourth), Volkswagen Group Sales (seventh), Amazon Online (sixth), United Spirits Ltd (fifth), Uber (eighth), Jaquar (ninth), and Apple Computer India (tenth).
The top two categories in advertising across the five channels under Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) also continued to be two-wheelers and a corporate-financial institute. Internet Service-B2C & Online Shopping was the third category, followed by liquor at the fourth position. Cars/jeeps further slipped to the fifth spot. Auto rental services, general internet service, cellular phone service, sanitary wares and cellular phones-smart phones service entered at sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth spot respectively.
The data provided by TAM covers advertising duration during live matches and excludes all pre-mid-post programs on all sports channels of SPN like Sony ESPN, Sony Ten 2, Sony Ten 2 HD, Sony Ten 3 and Sony Ten 3 HD.
