Actor Anushka Sharma is Polaroid Eyewear's ambassador for the 2017 campaign

Polaroid Eyewear, inventor of the original polarized lenses, has announced Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma as its ambassador for the 2017 campaign. “We are launching this brand campaign with Anushka on Women’s Day introducing a fresh, strong perspective of self-confidence that personifies the woman of today. With her modern and edgy attitude, Anushka perfectly embodies the pop and innovative spirit of the brand that celebrates its 80th anniversary this year,” shares Kyriakos Kofinas, Managing Director, IMEA, “She is an epitome of youth and style for the Indian consumer. We wanted a celebrity endorser who is real, relatable, and represents the dynamism of our consumer, and she fits the role perfectly. We look forward to this exciting journey with Anushka.”

The actor shares, “I am happy to be the ambassador for such a renowned brand as Polaroid, which is synonymous with being stylish and cool at the same time. I have a personal sense of style, which is comfortable and chic and I feel the philosophy of the brand is similar. As the campaign launches on Women’s Day, I salute the power of women across the globe. It really feels wonderful to be associated with a brand that has a legacy of 80 years.”

Cool design and functionality are the keywords for Polaroid’s new concept: design-led eyewear for everyone at unbeatable value for money that offers 100 per cent UV protection, thanks to the brand’s exclusive polarized lenses. All Polaroid sunglasses come with UltraSight™ lenses, for a perfect, distortion-free vision, enhanced contrast, and reduction of eye fatigue.

The advertising campaign will debut in India in March 2017 as the new Polaroid eyewear collection hits the stores.
