AAAI to conduct ‘The Block – The Triple A Creative Workshop’

The AAAI has announced a 10-session workshop called ‘The Block – The Triple A Creative Workshop’. The workshop will help mid-level creative resources become Creative Directors.

Going by the popular belief that creativity cannot be taught, but an environment has to be created to nurture it, the course’s faculty comprises 10 handpicked senior Creative Directors and Advertising Film Producers. Each faculty member will take one 3-hour session every alternative Friday at the World Trade Centre, Mumbai.

The faculty is made up of popular filmmakers like Namita Roy Ghose and Subir Chatterjee of White Light Moving Picture Co., Equinox Films’ Sumantra Ghosal and Prasoon Pandey, Director, Corcoise Films. Creative gurus like Preeti Vyas Giannetti, Chairperson and Executive Creative Director, Vyas Giannetti Creative, R Balakrishnan, Executive Creative Director, Lowe, Prasoon Joshi, National Creative Director and EVP, McCann Erickson, Creative Consultant Deepa Kakkar, Mohammed Khan, Chairman, Enterprise Nexus, Alok Nanda, Head of Alok Nanda and Co. Communications, and Piyush Pandey.

The inaugural session will be conducted by Khan on March 19, 2004. Each faculty member will share his or her personal experience, showcase star campaigns and cover subjects like extracting a provocative brief, selling a creative campaign internally and to the client, connecting with the consumer’s heart, creating for sales, creating for awards and common pitfalls.

The format and syllabus of the ‘The Block – The Triple A Creative Workshop’, according to AAAI, has been arrived at to bring out the participant’s own creativity and help them develop a point of view. AAAI also states that seats are limited and participation will only be on ‘first-come-first-serve’ basis.
