‘Stardust’ goes to Europe, launches German edition

Film magazine ‘Stardust’, which currently has editions in English, Hindi and some international editions, has now added a German edition to its offerings. The inaugural issue of the German edition of ‘Stardust’ hit the newsstands on December 14, 2006.

An official communiqué stated, “‘Stardust’ already has an international edition in the US and the UK, which cater to the NRIs. For the first time, an Indian magazine is being printed for a European country in their language for the local market. Our movies are already making a mark in the international scene, being shown and dubbed in German for cinema and television.”

The communiqué also stated that going forward, the magazine had plans to launch several other international editions and expand its reach across the globe. This also comes as a good opportunity for both Indian and MNC companies to communicate to a global audience through ‘Stardust’.

The launch event of the edition saw presence of the likes of Sam Balsara, Vikram and Simi Sakhuja, Punita Arumugam, Dhupindera Sandhu, Ravi Kiran, Ashish Kumar, Anjana Sharma, Nikhil Dave, Rahul, Ajit Verghese, Sridhar Ramasubramanian, Girish Shah, Anita Kataria, J Arvind, and Himanka Das, among others.

The inaugural issue was released by film stars Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal, Shiney Ahuja, and Dino Morea along with Deputy German Consul General Dr Martin Theummel.
