‘Media Quotient - what’s your MQ?’ kicks off; Team Cognizant wins Kolkata regional round

‘Media Quotient - what’s your MQ?’, the Media Quiz 2010, got underway with the Kolkata regional round on April 27. MQ witnessed a good response from participants despite a nationwide strike by the Opposition parties against price rise on that day. Team Cognizant comprising Kavala Gana Sanjeev and Prashnik Nag beat other five finalists to emerge winners of the Kolkata regional round of MQ. Team Mjunction comprising Subhashis Dey and Debhashis Mukharjee was the first runner-up, while Team TCS comprising Sudip Kalyan Dey and Abhishek Das was the second runner up.

Madison’s Sam Balsara and Sumit Roy of UnivBrands were the quiz masters for the Kolkata round of MQ 2010.

More than 20 teams took part in the qualifying round, out of which six teams managed to make it to the final round. The winners will reach Mumbai to participate in the grand finale, which will take place on May 6.

The Bangalore round of MQ is slated on May 3, while the Delhi round will be held on May 5. The Mumbai regional round and grand finale of MQ 2010 will take place in Mumbai on May 6.

The Media Quiz seeks to bring together media professionals on a common platform to network and interact, while simultaneously competing to win. The Quiz covers all aspects of the Media discipline – people, places, stories of origin, research, the business and its connection with Indian and bits of global media.
