‘Burrping’ the good life, Cell18 shows how

A good burp after a hearty meal connotes satisfaction, but ‘burrping’ the good life? In a bid to create greater equity with netizens, Burrp.com, an online guide to good living, which gives reviews on spas, restaurants, and movies, among many others, has come up with a new TV campaign. Cell18 has conceptualised the TVC.

The TVC will be on air for two weeks. The film has been shot and directed by Zubin Driver, CEO, Cell18. Commenting on the ad, Driver said, “The brief we got from Burrp was to create a clutter breaking ad and get Burrp.com top of the mind recall, besides associating it with best of spas, lounges, etc. The creative insight was to play up the phenomenon of a ‘burp’.”

Driver further said, “A burp is an experience of satisfaction. The film uses different expressions of people burping. The TVC describes two women getting a spa massage done and questions arise regarding where does one get special spas. One of the women gets up and burps. Five different situations are depicted in the ad, which involve spa, movie theatre, kitty party, and cluster and art gallery.”

“The aim is to get as many people as possible to log on to Burrp.com. The TVC broke on May 25 on the Network18 channels, besides channels like MTV and Vh1,” Driver added.
