The film breaks stereotype of men wearing deodorant to attract women
Deodorant brand Envy from Vanesa Care has rolled out a TVC conceptualised by Shop Advertising.
The film opens up by breaking the stereotype of a guy generously spraying deodorant on himself and attracting girls. Since the brand Envy always conveys the message of ‘Being Real’, the opening scene unfolds with the charming face of Rahul Khanna who is sitting with 3 blonde models at an evening party. Then there is director’s cut to the film itself and the camera zooms out to a film set. The story proceeds with Khanna saying ‘yeh sab toh sirf filmo mein hi hota hai’ and sprays Envy French and a blonde girl passing by says ‘So French’.
As Saurabh Gupta, CMO, Vanesa Care (Manufacturer of Envy and Denver), says, "The idea has been derived from the fact that we wanted to break the clutter of deodorant advertising and our product USP is the blend of French perfume and not gas. We fitted these blocks together to make this wonderful TVC and Rahul's presence added more weight to it. Envy strives to give our consumers a deodorant that has more perfume quotient so that they last longer. Adding to that, Envy deodorants are blended with rich French fragrances that multiples the options for the consumer as he gets to choose from a queue of best fragrances from around the world.”
After multiple brainstorming sessions with the creative team led by Naved Akhtar, Founder Director, Shop Advertising zeroed down on this idea. "There are a lot of brands taking similar as well as different positioning but what will make us different is the route we take with our product. We want to be authentic and true to the nature of our product,” he says.
