AMFI was top advertising brand during 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia: TAM data
Hero Motocorp was the leading advertiser followed by AMFI, in terms of companies
The Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) was the top advertising brand during the recently concluded 2018 FIFA World Cup, according to the TAM data provided to exchange4media.
AMFI was followed by two-wheeler brands Hero Passion (second), Honda X Blade (third), Hero Super Splendor 125 (fourth) and Hero Maestro Edge (seventh). Online food and grocery store bigbasket.com took the fifth spot. Volkswagen Sports Edition was at sixth spot. Apple iPhoneX took the eighth spot and taxi aggregator Uber and hands-free smart speaker Amazon Echo were at the ninth and tenth spots, respectively.
In terms of company, Hero Motocorp was the leading advertiser, followed by AMFI, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India. The other seven companies were from diverse categories, ranging from a beverage maker and an online portal to a taxi aggregator and automobiles. Super Market Grocery Supplies was at the fourth spot, United Spirits Ltd at fifth, Amazon Online at sixth, Volkswagen Group Sales at seventh, Apple Computer India at eighth, Uber at the ninth spot and Jaquar at the 10th spot.
The top two categories in advertising across the five channels under Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) were two-wheelers and corporate-financial institute. Internet service-B2C and online shopping was the third category, followed by liquor at the fourth position. Cars/jeeps took the fifth spot. Cellular phone service and cellular phones-smart phones were at sixth and seventh spots, respectively. Auto rental services and sanitary wares took the eighth and ninth spots, respectively. The Perfumes and deodorant category was in the 10th spot.
The data provided by TAM covers advertising duration during live matches and excludes all pre-mid-post programs on all sports channels of SPN namely Sony ESPN, Sony Ten 2, Sony Ten 2 HD, Sony Ten 3 and Sony Ten 3 HD.
