26th Epica Awards: BBH India bags 2 metals
BBH India has bagged a Silver for its work, ‘Tanjore’, done for Google Chrome and a Bronze for its work, ‘Diwali’, done for World Gold Council
Winners of Epica Awards 2012 have been announced. From India, BBH India has bagged two metals – a Silver and a Bronze.
BBH India has bagged a Silver for its work titled ‘Tanjore’ done for Google Chrome in the Communication Services (TVC) category. The agency also bagged a Bronze in the Clothing, Footwear & Personal Accessories (TVC) category for its work titled ‘Diwali’ done for World Gold Council.
The Epica Awards were created in 1987 and celebrated their 25th anniversary last year. Having originally focused on Europe only, the Awards have gone global in 2012 and received 3,900 entries from 649 companies in 62 countries.
The awards are judged by journalists representing the trade press; 41 specialist titles and websites from 34 countries represented on the jury this year, including six new titles from Canada, India, Singapore, China, Australia and the Philippines. The sole jury member from India this year was Annurag Batra, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, exchange4media Group.
The Awards encompass all main communication disciplines: TV, Press, Poster, Radio, Business-to-Business, Corporate Image, Medical, Direct Marketing, Media Innovation, Branded Content, PR, Promotions, Craft, Design, Packaging, Interactive and Integrated Campaigns. New Film Craft categories for Animation, Direction & Cinematography and Editing & Special Effects have been introduced this year, while the Interactive categories have been extended to give better coverage of different product and service groups. At the same time, some of the traditional media categories have been combined so that the total number of categories remains the same as in previous years.
The Epica Awards ceremony and International Creative Conference will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on January 25, 2013.
