Promodome beats JWT, Grey, others to bag CWG mandate for ‘Delhi Celebrates’ campaign

Delhi-based Promodome Communications has been appointed as the creative agency to handle the creative and media releases for the ‘Delhi Celebrates’ campaign initiated by Delhi Tourism. It is learnt that 27 agencies, including JWT, Grey Worldwide and Sobhagya Advertising, were in the fray for the business. The pitch was called in July-end and Promodome won the account in the first week of August.

Speaking on the win, Sandiip Kapur, CEO, Promodome Communications, told exchange4media, “‘Delhi Celebrates’ is a multi-faceted public involvement campaign to celebrate the spirit of ‘unity in diversity’ through various cultural activities on the eve of the prestigious CommonWealth Games from September 2 to October 14, 2010. Everyday there will be a programme on different cultures, depicting the various states of India. They will talk about their cultures and we will be doing the creatives and releasing their advertisements for the same.”

The campaign will be carried out in Delhi and the venues would comprise well-known landmarks like the Qutub Minar, Red Fort, India Habitat Centre, Dilli Haat, the Constitution Club, and so on. The work and activities will commence from September 3.

Promodome had also conceptualised and worked closely with Delhi Tourism and Department of ACL, Government of Delhi, to unveil the ‘Delhi Celebrates’ festivity by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on August 25 at the Delhi Secretariat.

Promodome is a full-service advertising and marketing communications agency with total market and communications expertise.
