Nirula’s launches hunt for media agency

Close on the heels of finalising Lowe Lintas as its creative partner, Nirula’s is now on the lookout for a media agency. The incumbent on the business is Jobra, which has been working with Nirula’s for several years. While it is learnt that several agencies have participated in the media pitch, specifics couldn’t be ascertained at time of filing the report.

Despite repeated attempts, no client comments were forthcoming, however, industry sources pegged the business to be in the vicinity of Rs 10 crore.

Nirula’s is a well-known name in the hospitality industry, having set up the first outlet at Delhi’s Connaught Circus area way back in the 1940s. Nirula’s operates restaurants under the brand name Nirula’s, casual dining outlets called Nirula's Potpourri and two hotels. The Group is present in over 75 locations across Delhi and NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab.

In June 2006, Navis Capital Partners and Managing Director, Samir Kuckreja acquired the Nirula’s Group of Companies. Navis is a private equity fund based in Malaysia, which manages $2.5 billion in capital commitments.
