McCann wins creative duties of Asian Paints' Royale Play

McCann Erikson has won the creative mandate for brand Royale Play from the Asian Paints umbrella. The brand has also introduced new categories under Royale Play, which McCann will handle. The brand was in talks with creative agencies early last month, as reported by exchange4media.

Contract Advertising and Ogilvy India also handle the creative duties for the account.

Incidentally, McCann Erikson was earlier handling duties of Dulux Paints for around two years, which moved to Dentsu last year following a multi-agency pitch.

Commenting on the win, Prasoon Joshi, Executive Chairman and CEO, McCann Worldgroup India and President, South Asia said, “I’ve had a long association with Asian Paints and am absolutely delighted with this partnership. It is one of the most respected brands in the country and I am looking forward to doing some memorable work on the brands assigned to McCann.”

In keeping with the brand image and positioning, Royale had signed on Saif Ali Khan and his sister Soha Ali khan as brand ambassadors.
