Lintas Media Group bags Voltas AC media biz; account size pegged at Rs 35-40 cr

Close on the heels of bagging the Religare Enterprises media business, Lintas Media Group (LMG) has won the media mandate for Voltas ACs. The account size has been pegged at Rs 35-40 crore.

Confirming the win, Sudha Natrajan, President and COO, LMG, said, “The agency’s past record and performance left its positive mark with the client. We look forward to doing some good work on the brand. This is going to be a big year for the brand, and we are confident of being an integral part of Voltas’ growth story and helping the brand scale new heights in gaining superior mindshare.”

On appointing LMG as the media agency, Pradeep Bakshi, Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Voltas, said, “The brand has been through challenging times and has fared well on the corporate score card, it is now of vital importance to consistently beat expectations and occupy a distinct position in the minds of discerning consumers. Having launched a new range of 50 exciting room airconditioners, keeping in mind the market’s heterogeneous nature, diversity in demographics and aesthetic tastes, the brand is keenly looking at capitalising through a blend of innovative solutions in media to woo every customer segment, and we found that Lintas Media Group’s offering mirrored our expectations very well.”

It may be recalled that in December 2009, Capital Advertising was appointed as the creative partner for Voltas, following a multi-agency pitch. Euro RSCG and MPG India were the incumbent agencies for creative and media businesses, respectively.
