KKLD* wins Baume & Mercier business

KKLD*, a creative agency based in Berlin and New York City, has been appointed the digital and social media lead agency for Swiss luxury watchmaker Baume & Mercier, Geneva, a brand of Richemont International SA. The win comes on the back of a two-step selection and competitive pitch, where KKLD* prevailed against high-profile international competition from Hamburg, Amsterdam, Paris, Geneva, London, and New York.

As lead agency digital and social media for Baume & Mercier, KKLD* will redesign the international web presence and manage all social media activities of the luxury watch brand. The activities will be implemented globally.

“We’ve been seduced by KKLD* for their integrated and cross-channel approach, but also for their strong creativity, and their extensive skill in digital brand experience or social media management,” said Stephanie Bretonniere, Head of International E-Marketing and E-Commerce at Baume & Mercier.

On winning the account, Alexander Diehl, Founder of KKLD* said, “Stephanie and her team have an exciting vision for the future of the brand’s digital strategy, and we’ll do our best to define and implement that vision across the digital landscape. With the web moving to mobile and social, this opens up exciting new opportunities in digital communication and commerce. If life is about moments – as the brand claim says – the shift to the next generation digital with Baume & Mercier will be a great moment in the life of our agency.”

Founded in 1830, the Swiss Maison d’Horlogerie Baume & Mercier today has four key collections, which include the Linea for women, Capeland for men, Hampton for both men and women, and the Classima. The brand’s new universe is now represented by Seaside Living in the Hamptons, which has inspired Baume & Mercier’s new claim: Life is about moments.
