Videocon reviews creative biz of Sansui & Kelvinator

It is learnt from industry sources that Videocon has called a pitch for the creative duties of its brands Sansui and Kelvinator. Law & Kenneth is the incumbent agency.

It is understood that a few agencies are already in conversation with the clients and the first round of presentations have been completed. However, no official confirmation was available at the time of filing the report.

It may be noted that in 2010, Law & Kenneth had bagged the business. The win followed in the wake of a multi-agency pitch then and Saatchi & Saatchi was the incumbent agency prior to Law & Kenneth. Though there was no certainty on the account size of the business, as per past media reports, spends of the business for Sansui and Kelvinator together was worth around Rs 40 crore.

Kelvinator’s portfolio includes primarily refrigerators, besides washers, air conditioners and microwave ovens. Consumer electronics brand Sansui is present in the LCD, ultra-slim TV, flat TV, conventional TV, DVD player and home theatre system domains.
