TBWA\India bags GVK-led Mumbai Intl Airport creative AOR

Following a multi-agency pitch, GVK-led Mumbai International Airport Pvt Ltd has announced the appointment of TBWA\India as the Agency of Record for Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA).

Announcing the decision, in an official statement Manish Kalghatgi, Head of Corporate Communications at GVK, said, “We have a stated vision to transform CSIA into one of the world’s best airports that will consistently delight passengers and will be a gateway to the new India and the pride of Mumbai. We had recently briefed select agencies with an objective of showcasing this transformation to our key stakeholders and creating excitement around the new terminal that will provide passengers an unparalleled airport experience. TBWA presented an impressive overarching concept supported by strong ideas which we feel would help us meet our objectives.”

On bagging the business, Shiv Sethuraman, CEO, TBWA\ India, added, “This is a once in a lifetime assignment. To be entrusted with the task of helping create a vibrant and enduring CSIA brand is a matter of huge pride and responsibility. This win has been possible thanks to the ideas, energy and passion of the folks at TBWA\ Mumbai.”

GVK is currently implementing a master plan for CSIA to build a new world-class integrated Terminal Building, referred to as T2, that will be able to handle traffic of 40 million passengers per annum.
