MediaCom India has begun its 2011 with wins like Directi, which had recently launched BigRock. While the win had come in in 2010, the work has begun in January 2011. The account size of the business is pegged at Rs 10-12 crore.
The other big development at the agency is the digital win of Volkswagen, Skoda and Audi. Volkswagen and Skoda move from Tribal DDB, while Audi has landed from G2. The combined account size of the digital wins is pegged at Rs 13-15 crore. MediaCom Interaction’s Latish Nair would be heading these businesses.
While sources at MediaCom India have confirmed the developments to exchange4media, MediaCom officials did not offer any comments.
As is known, MediaCom is the media AoR for Volkswagen. With this, the digital business of the client is also now parked at MediaCom.
BigRock is a new player in the market and had called for a pitch in the last quarter of 2010. Details on the other agencies were not available at the time of filing the report. BigRock provides web-presence solutions to small-businesses, professionals and individuals. The company offers clients a suite of products to establish and grow online presence. Their product portfolio includes domain registration, business-class email services (including anti-spam and anti-virus features), web-hosting services, website builder products, e-commerce solutions and digital certificates.
