McCann Erickson couldn’t have asked for a better start to the New Year. The agency has bagged four new businesses – ACC Cement, Britannia Dairy, Pondicherry Tourism and Parx from Raymonds Group. Officials close to the development have confirmed the wins, however, no details were available regarding the account size of the new businesses.
All the businesses except Britannia Dairy were bagged following multi-agency pitches. The pitch for the ACC Cement business was called in October 2010. Everest Brand Solutions was the incumbent agency for ACC Cement.
Grey Worldwide and Dentsu Marcom were the incumbent agencies for Britannia Dairy and Parx businesses, respectively. The incumbent agency for the Pondicherry Tourism business could not be ascertained.
McCann Erickson has been on an account winning spree in the last few months. The agency had bagged the creative mandates for BIG CBS and Srei Infrastructure in September 2010, while in October 2010, the agency had won the creative duties of Greenlam, the flagship laminate brand from Greenply Industries. And now, come four more additions to the agency’s client portfolio.
