Sudhir Chaudhary joins Zee News as Business Head & Editor

Sudhir Chaudhary has joined Zee News as Business Head and Editor. Prior to this, he was Editor and CEO of Live India and Mi Marathi. This is his second stint with Zee News, the channel where he began his career.

According to industry sources, the current Editor Satish K Singh is on his way out. Official announcement on the development is awaited.

exchange4media readers will recall that Prosperity Agro’s Mahesh Motewar recently bought over Live India and Mi Marathi.

Chaudhary had joined Janmat TV (later renamed as Live India) in March 2007. He started his career with Zee News in 1993. He has been in the TV news industry for more than 19 years and is a ‘seen it all’ journalist. As a TV professional, he belongs to the first generation of television journalists and has been associated with the Indian television news industry since its inception.

After spending almost a decade with Zee News as a senior editorial person and prime time anchor, Chaudhary moved on to Sahara Samay National as part of the core team that launched the channel, and senior anchor where he played a major role in creating human resource and content to establish the channel. Following this, he joined India TV as an Executive Editor where he hosted the prime time shows apart from carrying out key editorial responsibilities.
