Star Plus manages to stay ahead of Max in IPL Week 3

Star Plus has managed to retain its No. 1 position during the IPL season for the third consecutive as per TAM ratings for Week 16 (April 14 – April 20) of 2013.

According to viewership data for CS 4+, HSM markets, Star Plus clocked 233 GRPs, losing 19 points as compared to its last week’s GRPs of 252. Sony Max has garnered 211 GRPs in Week 16, losing 23 points as compared to last week’s 234 GRPS. This is also in stark contrast to 344 GRPs that Sony Max had recorded in 2012 during IPL Week 3.

Though the ratings have taken a beating, the other first rung Hindi GECs have also managed to add points compared to Week 15. Zee TV clocked 169 GRPs, managing to add six points. Sony Entertainment Television stood at 165 GRPs (last week 160 GRPs), adding up five points. Colors has recorded 167 GRPs (last week 156 GRPs), as compared to last week.

On the other hand, SAB TV lost 14 points, standing at 123 GRPs (last week 137 GRPs). Life OK recorded 103 GRPs this week (last week 111 GRPs).
